A special Christmas relationship…
in Appalachia, KY

I have two heroes of the faith that I would like you to meet. Their names are Pastor Mike and Pastor John. They don’t pastor in the richest part of the world, but were called by God to serve Him in one of the poorest areas of the USA, ( Pastor Mike lives by faith by the way.)
Jackson, KY is the their home ( about 3 ½ hours southeast of Cincinnati). Mike and Connie have 3 kids. John and Chris’s kids have grown and are out of the nest. But both families consider their real family the 80 children that no one wants in Jackson, KY.
The Happy Church, a Christian church that Pastor Mike founded, caters to kids in the midst of poverty, drug addiction, unemployment, illiteracy, unfit living conditions, single or no parent homes. Mike and John, and their love for Jesus and kids, are a “ light” in that community. They truly love “ the least of these.”
Would you please prayerfully consider adopting one of these 80 precious, and forgotten children for Christmas?
Requirements:
1.) Pray for the children on The Happy Church list.
2.) Choose the child (or children) you would like to adopt
for Christmas.
3.) As a family, go out and purchase a $40 gift for that
child.
4.) Box that gift up and tape that child’s name on it with a
small gift card.
5.) Pray some more. Prayerfully consider spending the day
( Wednesday December 23) in Appalachia, KY.
May God richly bless you!
